Which cookies do we use?

Here is a list of all possible cookie and local storage settings we use to make Mopinion function. All settings can be categorized as functional.

Local storage

We use local storage to set a key with the name mopDeploy. This key has as a value an array of objects that are used by our deployment code to trigger forms. It supports the following functionality.

• Register whether a form has already been shown and/or completed

• Register whether a visitor is new or returning for the Mopinion deployment code

• Register the duration on a specific page and the website in general to make time-based triggering possible

• Register by the client pre-configured interaction with the page

• Register the chance to be selected to see a form

• Register interaction with other forms

• Register the number of pages seen

• Register the previous page URL

Cookies

The below cookies are only set when specific functionality is turned on by the client.

Cookie name: MOP_assistant

• When: Optional

• Function: When the Mopinion deployment assistant is used. Only set for internal users.

• Expiration: session

• Value: unique Mopinion string

Cookie name: _ga

• When: Optional

• Function: Google Analytics integration is toggled for your survey

• Domain: customer domain

• Expiration: 1 year

Cookie name: SQsession

• When: Is used for the Form Metrics.

• Function: Used to keep track of a user’s session regarding form metrics recordings.

• Expiration: 30 minutes

The below cookies are only placed when the form is actually shown and sent:

Cookie name: MSopened

• When: Optional

• Function: Registration that the form has been opened

• Domain: Customer domain

• Expiration: As a Mopinion customer you can set the expiration date manually. The default value is expiration after 30 days.

• Value: The formkey of the last opened form

Cookie name: MSopened.[form_key]

• When: Optional

• Function: Registration that the form has been opened

• Domain: Customer domain

• Expiration: As a Mopinion customer you can set the expiration date manually. The default value is expiration after 30 days. 

• Value: true

Cookie name: MSFeedbackSent

• When: Optional

• Function: Registration that feedback was sent

• Domain: Customer domain

• Expiration: As a Mopinion customer you can set the expiration date manually. The default value is expiration after 30 days.

• Value: The formkey of the last submitted form

Cookie name: MSFeedbackSent.[form_key]

• When: Optional

• Function: Registration that feedback was sent

• Domain: Customer domain

• Expiration: As a Mopinion customer you can set the expiration date manually. The default value is expiration after 30 days.

• Value: true

Cookie name: MSanswer.[form_key].[Question_id]

• When: Optional

• Function: Registration of a specific answer to a specific question
